Dual Enrollment

Greater Latrobe Senior High School is in the process of applying for Project 720 funds from the Pennsylvania Department of Education to support high school students taking college level courses at no cost to the student.  Our goal is to provide students with an opportunity to take transferable postsecondary courses that will give them a jump start in their higher education.

Students can take these courses to meet the subject requirement for graduation but these courses DO NOT count towards the total graduation credit requirements and course grades are not factored into GPA and class rank calculations.  Only juniors and seniors with a GPA higher than 2.5 for WCCC and 2.75 for St. Vincent College are eligible for dual enrollment.

Students will be responsible for their own transportation. Students/Guardians will be responsible to pay all associated costs (tuition, textbooks, and fees) for each course taken at the beginning of each semester. When the Pennsylvania Department of Education releases Dual Enrollments funds in May or June 2011, students/guardians will receive a partial reimbursement for courses taken.
